C2K designed this 45,000-square-foot new construction club, which includes 42,000 square feet of gym space plus a 3,000-square-foot mezzanine. To make way for the club, an existing retail space was completely demolished; the new gym now shares a common demising wall with a neighboring Ace Hardware store.
This LA Fitness includes the signature rotunda element, sheathed here in metal panel. The body of the building is clad in CMU and simulated stone. Unlike many club facilities in the LA Fitness family, this site features a corner entry. Large illuminated graphic panels activate the building’s exterior. This was also the first NW LA Fitness to offer spinning classes on a stadium riser structure, which allows students to have a clearer view of the instructor.
The building was completed in 2011.
