C2K provided architectural services for this new construction, two-story veterinary hospital in the Lake Grove neighborhood of Lake Oswego. The 9,200-square-foot facility offers a number of innovative services for pets, including cardiology, water therapy, and acupuncture.
This is the first building to submit for permit under the newly expanded Lake Grove design district guidelines. Because it is located on a main street, the project must meet minimum ground-floor window requirements. Views outside are not always helpful to animals in veterinary settings, but we carefully crafted the floor plan to bring areas that could have fenestration to the front of the building, including the lobby and hydrotherapy areas.
We also provided development services for the site, which included negotiating a shared-surface parking lot with neighboring businesses and integrating a pedestrian-oriented “festival street” into the site.
Opened in 2014.
